Screen Replacement Costs by Model

MacBook screen prices depend on three factors: display size, panel technology (Retina vs Liquid Retina), and whether the part is bonded to the aluminum housing (newer models). Our prices include the screen assembly and labour — no hidden fees.

Note: MacBook Pro 16″ M4 screens are not yet available. MacBook 12-inch (2015–2017) screens are also unavailable due to part scarcity. For these models, ask Macky, our online chatbot, for current availability.

How Screen Replacement Works

Many screen replacements are done on our workbench at Vanissa Building, 17th floor, where you can watch the process if you wish. Expensive displays and LCD-only replacements are installed by our supplier, so any defect is covered as a straightforward parts warranty claim — never disputed as an installation issue. When a used screen is available for your model, we also offer it as a budget option: always an original Apple display, and always disclosed before we proceed. All screen work is completed within 2 working days. Here is what happens:

• ✓Free diagnostic (15 minutes): We confirm the screen is the issue and not a logic board or cable problem. No charge if you decide not to proceed.
• ✓Fast turnaround: Workbench replacements are often finished the same day; supplier-installed screens are completed within 2 working days.
• ✓Original or OEM-grade parts: We normally fit new OEM-grade assemblies that match factory specifications. Used screens are only ever original Apple displays, always offered as a disclosed budget option — we inform you before installing.
• ✓3-month warranty: Covers defects in the display assembly and our installation work.

When to Repair vs. Replace

Not every broken screen justifies a ฿20,000 repair. Here is how we advise customers:

Repair probably makes sense: MacBook Air M1 and newer, MacBook Pro 14″/16″ M-series. These machines have years of software support left, and the screen cost is 20–35% of a replacement device.

Consider the alternatives: MacBook Air Intel (2015–2017) with a ฿6,000 screen repair. If your machine is otherwise slow or has other issues, a used MacBook Air M1 (around ฿15,000–20,000 secondhand) may be smarter. We buy used MacBooks too — ask Macky for a trade-in quote.

We will tell you straight: If your Mac has multiple problems, we will diagnose all of them and give you a total cost. Sometimes that total makes replacement the better choice. We wrote about repair vs. replace decisions to help you think it through.

Remember: A cracked screen is never just cosmetic. The glass flexes every time you open or close the lid, so cracks spread — and dust or moisture working into the fractures can lead to lines, flickering, or backlight failure down the road. If your screen was liquid damaged, make sure to book a free logic board check as well: liquid that reached the display often kept going, and a logic board issue caught early is far cheaper than one found after the machine dies.

Common Questions

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — 3 months on all screen replacements. This covers dead pixels, backlight failure, and touch bar issues (if applicable). Physical damage is not covered.

Can you replace just the glass?
On most modern MacBooks, the glass and display are fused together. We replace the entire assembly. On older MacBook Air models (pre-2018), glass-only replacement is sometimes possible — ask Macky for your specific model.

Will I lose my data?

Do you fix other screen issues (flickering, lines, backlight)?
Yes. Lines and flickering are often screen cable or display controller issues, not the panel itself. Our diagnostic will identify whether you need a full screen replacement or a more targeted repair.
